Lab activities

Kate finished a growing/finishing study, an experiment testing the effects of phytase on amino acid digestibility, and another testing the effects of phytase on ash, Ca and P retention in bones. She started a grower study and an experiment for APC.

Travels

Dr. Stein travelled to St. Louis to give a presentation at the 16th Distillers Grains Symposium. The title of the talk was "Formulating pig diets with maximum DDGS and with lower DDGS fat contents". He also travelled to Lexington, KY to give a talk entitled "The new Swine NRC - how does it impact pork production?" at the 28th International Alltech Symposium.

Caroline traveled to Colombia for a visit in the last half of May.

Jin left on May 24 to renew her visa and visit family in Korea.

Tanawong returned to Thailand to see family and friends and hopefully do some scuba diving.
