Brenda Almaguer is from Monterrey, México. She received her master’s degree in monogastric nutrition at Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, where she worked on projects involving energy metabolism, studying the effects of certain diets on the corporal composition of the weaned pig, and comparing a sesame meal diet with soybean meal diet. As a visiting scholar in the Stein lab, she conducted a novel experiment to measure the digestibility of phosphorus in diets with copra meal, palm kernel meal and palm kernel expellers without or with added phytases. The final objective of this assessment was to prove that phosphorus digestibility is greater in a diet with added phytase.

Brenda currently works as a feed formulator at EuroNutec.
