Jen Roth is originally from Springfield, Illinois. She has worked in IT support, systems administration, and online education since 1995.

Jen has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Library and Information Science, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  In January 2010, she came to work for Dr. Hans Stein. While here, she helped to disseminate the valuable information gained from the research here via the web site, newsletter, podcasts, and other avenues. Jen left our lab in August 2018 to pursue a freelance career.
