I grew up on a corn and soybean farm in Sullivan, Illinois. My family also raises Angus cross beef cattle and Arabian horses. I attended University of Illinois with a major in Animal Science, Food Animal Specialty, as an undergraduate and began my career with Dr. Stein shortly after graduation. Although my previous swine experience was not extensive, working with animals comes naturally, and I have very much enjoyed working with pigs.

My job is to conduct research trials, assist graduate students, and manage a group of employees and undergraduate workers. A few of my favorite things about this job are working with a highly diverse group of students and colleagues, attending conferences, and being able to spend most of my time on the farm working with the animals.

In my free time I enjoy riding horses, playing golf, and cheering for Michigan football!
