Richard Mudarra is from Panama and is a professional in the animal science field. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with a specialization in Animal Science from the University of Panama in 2016. He furthered his academic credentials in 2017 with a specialization in higher education at the University of Panama. After this, he pursued a master’s degree in animal science (swine nutrition) at the University of Arkansas in 2020 under the guidance of Dr. Charles Maxwell. During this time, as a research assistant at the University of Arkansas, he gained experience in laboratory techniques related to nutritional analysis alongside Dr. Tsung Cheng Tsai.
Professionally, he works for the college of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Panama, where he taught the swine production and poultry production courses. Mudarra has served as a consultant for Numega Group, Singapore, participating in training programs and providing technical advice on the use of additives in monogastric nutrition. He has also served as instructor in training courses for swine farm technicians from Latin America sponsored by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) in collaboration with the University of Panama.
Currently, Richard has joined Dr. Stein Monogastric Nutrition Laboratory to pursue his Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Hans Stein, with the goal of solidifying his capabilities as researcher in the animal nutrition field.
