Lab activities

Hector finished an experiment to determine phosphorus digestibility in high protein canola meal.

Kelly finished animal work for her trial to determine amino acid digestibility in soybean meal produced throughout the United States.

Gloria started a study of phosphorus digestibility in rice co-products.

Travel and visitors

Dr. Stein, Kelly, Mark, Jessica, Chelsie, Kate, John, Hector, Yanhong, Juliana, Oscar, Neil, Niels, Gloria, and Ana traveled to St. Louis January 12th to the 14th. We met with International Ingredients, Novus, DuPont Animal Health and Nutrition, and took a tour of Monsanto.

Dr. Stein participated in the North Central Coordinating Committee 042 - meeting (NCCC-042) in Orlando on January 9-10. The committee discussed nutrition research with pigs and developed protocols for future collaborative experiments.

Chelsie and Oscar attended the International Production & Processing Expo in Atlanta January 27-30.

Jen went to Florida with her family for vacation.
