Achievements
In June 3 to 5, our team participated in the World Pork Expo 2025. In June 11, PhD student Leidy Torres passed her preliminary exam.
Conferences
- In June 5, Dr. Stein gave a talk in Jefo Nutrition Poultry and Swine Tour. Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, about: "Digestibility of minerals by pigs".
- In June 26, he gave a talk in the DSM-Firmenich. Brazil, about: "Digestible Calcium: Digestibility Coefficients in Ingredients, Interactions, and Requirements".
- Natalia Faneli presented a poster about “Protein quality af salmon protein hydrolysates using the digestible indispensable amino acids score (DIAAS) method”. At the ASN Nutrition meeting - dietary protein for global human health, Orlando, FL
Personnel changes
Amy Hernandez graduated in the UIUC as an Animal Science and a minor in Ecology and Conservation Biology, and started working in hour lab full time from June, she will help Bibiana Jaramillo out PhD student with her experiments at the farm and also with the analysis at the lab.
