June/July 2022 Lab News

Achievements

Dr. Su A Lee and Maryane Oliveira post doctoral research fellows from our lab gave an oral presentations in the 2022 ASAS-CSAS Annual Meeting & Trade Show on June 26-30,  Oklahoma City, OK. Dr. Lee presented about "Effects of different watering options on standardized ileal digestibility of amino acids and net energy in diets fed to growing pigs", and Dr. Oliveira talked about: "Effects of a probiotic Bacillus toyonensis on ileal digestibility of crude protein, starch, energy, and fat and total tract digestibility of energy and dietary fiber in diets fed to weanling pigs".

New experiments

Diego Rodriguez Ms. started an experiment in our calorimeter unit about "Concentration of net energy in corn without or with microbial phytase fed to group-housed pigs"
