Achievements
On March 17, Oscar Rojas received the Animal Science Young Scholars Award at the Midwest Meeting of the American Society of Animal Science. The Young Scholars Award recognizes research accomplishments of current and/or recent Ph.D. and M.S. students in the Midwest Section.
Then, on March 30, Oscar defended his Ph. D. dissertation, "Use of feed technology to improve the nutritional value of feed ingredients and diets fed to pigs." Congratulations, Dr. Rojas!

Lab activities
Gloria finished farm work for her experiments to determine the DE and ME of rice coproducts fed to lactating sows and gestating sows.
Maryane finished farm work on her studies of amino acid digestibility, DE and ME, and P digestibility in an enzyme-treated soy protein product.
