Achievements
Our team participate at the DPP 2025, Digestive Physiology of Pigs - North America: 16th International Symposium on Digestive Physiology of Pig. Lake Geneva - WI.
Conferences
Dr. Stein gave some conferences in different seminars:
At the United Soybean Board Animal Working Group Meeting. St. Louis, MO on May 8. He talked about: "Effects of reducing crude protein on reproductive performance of sows".
On May 9, Dr. Stein gave three presentations at the Hueber DeKalb Feed. 2025 Spring Seminar. Utica IL, the presentations were:
- Ca and P and Phytase in diets for pigs
- Copper nutrition in pigs
- Net energy in soybean meal
At the Cartage Veterinary Group. In-house seminar for customers, Dr. Stein talked about:
- The Monogastric Nutrition Group at Univertiy of Illinois
- Impact of feed technology on swine production
- Net energy in diets fed to pigs
On May 20, He talked about "Copper supplementation for growing-finishing pigs" at the Digestive Physiology in Pigs Meeting. Satellite symposium on “Mineral Metabolism: A holistic approach for swine nutrition and health”.
On May 30, Dr. Stein gave a presentation about "Practical Application of the DIAAS method in research and policymaking" at the American Society of Nutrition Annual Meeting. Pre-symposium on “Dietary Protein for Global Human Health”. Orlando, FL.
Personnel changes
Minoy Cristobal finished his Ph D program and graduated on May. Yeonwoo Kim also finished his Master program and now he is starting as a Ph D student in our lab.
