November 2021 Lab News

Achievements

On November 12th, Carly Rundle successfully defended her PhD dissertation about "Isoquinoline alkaloids improve amino acid digestibility and intestinal health of pigs". We are so proud of you. Big congratulations!!!

Conferences

On November 10th, Doctor Hans H. Stein gave the following talks in USSEC, Europe, Bucaresti, Romania:

  • Energy concentration and digestibility of energy and other nutrients in fermented soybean meal: The case of the weanling pig.
  • Fermented soybean meal as a source of phosphorus in pig diets.

New experiments

Jimena Ibagon started an experiment at the farm about: "Determination of standardized total tract digestibility of phosphorus in different sources of field peas with different particle sizes fed to weanling pigs".
