Achievements

Dr. Su A Lee from our team received The International APSA Travel Scholarship at the 19th biannual Australian Pig Science Association meeting, Brisbane, Australia. The Scholarship is presented to a young Scientist who has demonstrated “extraordinary scientific achievements”.

 

 

Conferences

Dr. Stein gave some conferences in Australia: 

In the Australian Pig Science Association. 19th Biannual Conference. Brisbane, Australia. Nov. 13-15, 2023, about: 

  • Calcium and phosphorus requirements to optimize bone strength in developing gilts.
  • New developments in mineral and vitamin D nutrition for sows and growing pigs.
  • Review of vitamin D in pigs.

In Quensland Pork Producers Annual Meeting, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, Nov. 16, 2023, about:

  • Improving performance through ingredient quality, feed structure and form.

Dr. Stein also gave a conference in Project Proteos Update Webinar, Chicago, Nov. 20, 2023 about "The importance of animal and plant proteins in sustainable diets".

And also in Northern Crops Institute Webinar. Fargo, ND. Nov. 22, 2023, about "Feeding the future with corn protein"

Dr. Su A Lee presented a seminar about "Ca and P digestibility and requirements for pigs", in the course Feeding Standard for Nonruminants, Korea.
