Lab activities

Jung began an experiment to measure energy digestibility in low-fat DDGS.

Tanawong started an experiment to measure amino acid digestibility in sources of canola meal fed to growing pigs.

Kate started a study on amino acid digestibility in meat and bone meal.

Oscar finished analyzing data for a study of phosphorus digestibility in corn co-products. He also finished animal work for his experiment to study digestibility of energy and phosphorus in poultry by-product meal.

Neil finished animal work for an experiment about the digestibility of nutrients in slow and fast growing pigs.

Travels

Oscar, Neil, Jin, Sarah, Caroline, and Dr. Stein participated in the 11th Annual Midwest Swine Nutrition Conference on Sep. 8 in Indianapolis. Dr. Stein gave a presentation entitled “Standardized total tract digestibility of phosphorus”.
