April 2022 Lab News

Achievements

On April 8, 2022, our former visiting student Alice Luciano successfully defended her PhD dissertation at Universita Degli Studi de Milano, Italy. Her dissertation had the title: "The use of former food in post-weaning pig diets: effects on growth performance, apparent total tract digestibility, gut health, feed safety and environmental impact". Big congratulations to Alice – we wish you the best of luck in your future.

Conferences

Dr. Stein gave some video conferences, one in Proteos meeting, Chicago, IL, about "Status of Proteos Project and importance of DIAAS for industry" and two in DSM Singapore about: "Nutritional value of ingredients for weanling pigs" and "Mineral nutrition in weanling pigs".
