Achievements

On August 9th, we had visitors, 14 grad students and 5 professors from Kansas State University, Dr. Su A Lee gave a presentation about our facilities and they also took a tour on our lab.

PhD students Jimena, Minoy, Leidy, and Jessica participated in a PhD course about Carbohydrate Nutrition from Aug. 14 to Aug. 25 at Aarhus University, Foulum, Denmark.

Personnel changes

Kiara Garcia is our newest visiting scholar, she is from Peru and she will spend this fall in our lab. Welcome to our team!

Conferences

On August 11, Dr. Stein gave a talk about "The Monogastric Nutrition Laboratory at the University of Illinois", at the University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark.

On Aug. 28, he talked about: "Non-traditional Feed ingredients in diets for pigs", in EAAP Annual meeting, Lyon, France.
