Conferences

Doctor Hans H. Stein gave the following talks:

  • On May 6, he gave a talk in Animine webinar, about: Copper in pigs: effects on liver accumulation and microbiota modulation as potential mechanisms of action. Paris, France.
  • On May 6, Dr. Stein also talked about: Why enzymes are needed to digest fiber in pigs. In DSM Meeting: Harvesting more from swine feed using exogenous carbohydrase enzymes.
  • On May 21, Dr. Stein gave a talk in spanish for Premex in Medellin, Colombia, and it was about: Efectos de AlfaD3 (1-α-OH-D3) en el balance de Ca, P, energía digestible y metabolizable en dietas para cerdas.
  • On May 27, he talked about: The Monogastric Nutrition Laboratory at the University of Illinois, for Benson Hill, St. Louis. MO.

New experiments

Carly Rundle started an experiment at the farm about: "Effects of isoquinoline alkaloids on growth performance, intestinal health, and blood characteristics of weanling pigs fed corn-soybean meal diets formulated below amino acid requirements".

Jessica Acosta also started  an experiment, it is about: "Assessing the digestibility of energy and total dietary fiber by gestation-lactation sows and concentrations of digestible and metabolizable energy in corn-based diets without or with exogenous xylanase".
